The Agouti is a small mammal, is found in Mexico and south America. With its small body, fast movements, and amazing colour, the agouti stands out among other forest-dwelling creatures.
Agouti will chew on certain plants and then lick the spit onto their fur. This behaviour is believed to serve multiple purposes, including pest control.
Agouti are sometimes treated as pests, but actually they are good gardeners, eating nuts and spreading seeds.
