Last week we read all about plants and did some experiments!

We learnt about the structure of plants, how they have flowers, leaves, a stem and roots:

I designed my own plant. It is called a sea sucker because it sucks up sea water with its flower and leaves.

We learnt about wheat – you can make it into flour and then cookies! We tried grinding our own flour and making cookies. It didn’t work very well. Were the cookies good? No!

We also learnt about seeds germinating and we have planted some wheat, it has already germinated:

One of my seeds is called moustache man!

We also learnt about plants living in different biomes and we planted our own cacti desert:
